Also, I would love to have a pen pal from the town of Cara to communicate with before I get there. My Grandfather was from this town and his last name was Krajancic. Anyone out there to help me? Thanks, Marsha |

12.12.2003. 10:49 | Daniel Cameron | | Bog Bog! Croatia is magic. Be it Dalmatia, Zagreb or Slavonia, we have seen it all, and can only recommend. Trips in the summer from Dalmatia to Slavonia are a must, and the wine in Slavonia (Grasevina) is outstanding. As for Dalmatia, Brac has to be the best island, with beaches like Zlatni Rat and the clear coves around Milna. Croatia helps us through the winter, as we long for next summer on the Dalmatian Coast. Greetings from the UK. |

24.10.2003. 12:58 | DIANA MIKES | | The first time I went to Croatia I was with my boyfriend (now my husband)and my parents and we went to Opatija in 1991 just before the war. At the end of our holiday things changed, we had to hold our luggage ready, for leaving croatia because the war was comming. And we left as last Dutch visitors and me and my family spent all our money in order to give the people money for food and anything. We felt really sorry for the inhabitants there. I always remembered the sad faces of the people. The future learnt us, that in Croatia the coast area specific Istria nothing actualy happened. We went back, because Croatia stole our hearts, many years later and we went to Makarska much further south of Croatia. We liked the people, it was coming back after so many years. But the landscape we did not like so much. And last year we went back to lovely Istria, here is everything a tourist want, the silence, the beaches, the forests, the mountains, the nice villages and not to forgot the friendly people. |

10.10.2003. 05:43 | Ana | | My sister and I spent our holidays in Primosten, close to Sibenik. You cannot find fresher, clearer or more beautiful water then in Primosten. We stayed at various private accommodation places. They don't have to be perfect, you spend all day outside on beach, shops, cafe, etc anyway. Restaurants and cafe bars were great, rent boat or go on day cruise, so free, friendly and great people. Don't forget to go to AURORA and see Colonia go off! |
