General Terms and Conditions for adriatica.net Sailing School in Croatia (1) (for Beginners Course A, Advanced Course A, Regatta Course A, Gourmand Course A, Transadriatic Course, Course 'Return Ticket to Malta' A and Skipper Course)
1. adriatica.net's obligations - Sailing School in Croatia
a. adriatica.net is required to provide the following conditions, in order for the participant to acquire sailing knowledge and seaman skills: - adequate vessel - qualified instructors - use of showers and other rooms for personal care (for Basic Course) - accommodation in the vessels for the duration of the course (for Basic Course, accommodation is provided on the mainland in conditions similar to those on the vessel) - two full-boards - the first and last day of the course - (except for Basic and Gourmand Courses: three meals each day of the course) - certificates for those who have successfully completed the course b. adriatica.net is required to carry out daily activities based on the general schedule as follows: - getting up in summer 7:00/7:30 - exercise - breakfast - theory - sailing out - lunch break (anchoring) - continuation of sailing - return to the marina / anchoring - boat up-keeping - theory - supper at 18:00/19:00 c. The theoretical part is in Croatian and/or English, while English terms are used for boat parts and maneuvers.
2. Obligations of the participant
a. a. By confirming the reservation and paying the advance or the entire amount, the participant vouches: - that he/she is at least 17 years old - that he/she can swim - that he/she will provide a raincoat, boots and sailing gloves for themselves - that he/she will provide towels for personal care for themselves - that he/she will provide sleeping bags for themselves b. By confirming the reservation and paying the advance or the entire amount, the participant accepts the program and schedule, as well as possible changes based on the instruction of the school administration and the instructor. c. The participant sails on his or her responsibility. d. The participant may be excluded from the course if he or she does not follow the program and schedule according to the directives of the instructor.
3. Dynamics of payment The dynamics of payment for the sailing school is as follows:
1. advance of 50% when confirming the reservation and the rest of the amount 15 days prior to the beginning of the course 2. 100% of the entire amount when confirming the reservation if the course begins within 30 days of confirmation.
4. The participant's right to changes and cancellation
a. The participant must notify adriatica.net in written form (email or fax) about his/her cancellation. b. For cancellations up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the course, adriatica.net reserves the right to keep 20% of the paid amount. c. For cancellations from 29 to 15 days prior to the beginning of the course, adriatica.net reserves the right to keep 50% of the paid amount. d. For cancellations within 14 days prior to the beginning of the course, adriatica.net reserves the right to keep the paid amount in its entirety. e. In cases of cancellation due to force majeure (which must be confirmed by medical or other certificates), adriatica.net will allow the participant to take part in one of the future courses, that is, will return the paid amount in its entirety.
5. adriatica.net's right to changes and cancellation - Sailing School in Croatia
a. Courses may be cancelled due to force majeure (defined by law). b. A participant excluded from the course due to serious violation or disruption of the course program is not entitled to a refund of the paid amount. c. If a participant leaves the course of their own volition, he/she is not entitled to a refund of the paid amount. d. The service provider reserves the right to change the vessel. e. The service provider reserves the right to change the route due to unfavorable weather conditions.
6. Dealing with complaints Complaints are dealt with in the following way:
a. The participant is required to complain to the service provider about the inadequate service upon arrival and to notify adriatica.net's office in Zagreb by email info@adriatica.net or by telephone 00 385 1 2415 611. The participant is also required to co-operate with adriatica.net and the service provider in good faith in order to rectify the problem. If the participant does not accept on the spot the suggested solution that is in accordance with the service paid for, adriatica.net is not required to take into consideration subsequent complaint. b. If the problem is not rectified after on the spot intervention, the participant is required, 28 days upon return from holiday at the latest, to send a written complaint, along with accompanying documents and photographs, that prove reasons for complaint to adriatica.net by email info@adriatica.net or by mail at the address adriatica.net d.o.o Slavonska avenija 26/9, HR 10132 Zagreb. adriatica.net will take into consideration only complete complaints filed within 28 days of returning from holiday.
7. Note
By confirming the reservation and paying the advance or the entire amount, the participant confirms that he/she agrees with the above stated general terms and conditions.
8. Court jurisdiction

1. adriatica.net's obligations - Sailing School in Croatia
a. adriatica.net is required to provide the following conditions, in order for the participant to acquire sailing knowledge and seaman skills: - adequate vessel - qualified instructors - use of showers and other rooms for personal care (for Basic and Advanced Courses) - accommodation in the vessels for the duration of the course (for Basic and Advanced Courses, accommodation is provided on the mainland in conditions similar to those on the vessel) - for Basic and Advanced Courses, breakfast and supper, for other courses 'caboose' (meaning participants prepare three meals on the vessel themselves) - certificates for those who have successfully completed the course b. adriatica.net is required to carry out daily activities based on the general schedule as follows: - getting up in summer 7:00/7:30 - exercise - breakfast - theory - sailing out - lunch break (anchoring) - continuation of sailing - return to the marina / anchoring - boat up-keeping - theory - supper at 18:00/19:00 c. The theoretical part is in Croatian or English (if there are at least 4 interested participants who cannot understand Croatian), while English terms are used for boat parts and maneuvers.
