The island of Hvar can be reached by ferries from Split, Drvenik and Dubrovnik, as well as from Ancona during summer.
Stari Grad lies on the northwestern part of the island of Hvar, and can be reached by local road from the town of Hvar that is 18 km away. If you are coming from the direction of Zagreb or Rijeka, you can take a ferry in Rijeka (Rijeka - Stari Grad) or in Split (Split- Stari Grad).

If you are coming from the south, from the direction of Dubrovnik, there are two ways to get to Stari Grad: by car to Drvenik, place of departure for the ferry to Sucuraj, and then by island road to Stari Grad (Sucuraj - Stari Grad: 60 km) or by Ferry line Dubrovnik - Stari Grad.
