| | Zaostrog (Ploce) |
| | Zaostrog is a tourist destination not far from Ploce and is part of Makarska's splendid shoreline known for its long pebble beaches, as well as excellent hotels and restaurants. Zaostrog has some 270 inhabitants, who, besides tourism, also engage in fishing, as well as fruit and olive growing. In Zaostrog, Dalmatian specialties are prepared from home grown food and recently caught fish. The place itself has several Baroque buildings and a Franciscan monastery with a library and archive. We recommend you take a walk through the streets of Zaostrog and grab a bite to eat in an authentic Dalmatian konoba (local restaurant) after spending your day on one of the pebble or sandy beaches surrounded by pine trees and olive groves.
We recommend: Gradac / Bacinska lakes / Ploce / Neretva delta / Makarska / island of Hvar - by ferry from Drvenik
How to get there: 16 km northwest of Ploce on the main road Ploce - Makarska |
