Visnjan, placed in the interior of western Istria, is 13 km from Porec - the nearest coastal town. The old part, placed on a hilltop, has been inhabited since ancient times. Due to its mild climate and favorable soil, Visnjan has excellent vineyards and is one of Istria's agro-tourism centers and a destination on Istria's wine roads. Therefore, we recommend it to guests who are not looking primarily for swimming and suntanning, but rather for tranquility in a place of authentic architecture and rich cultural heritage. Should you come to Visnjan, make sure to visit the konobas (local restaurants) and taste homemade wines and traditional Istrian cuisine. Take advantage of the surroundings, offering numerous recreation activities such as hiking, biking and jogging.
We recommend: the parish church and St. Anthony's chapel in Visnjan / Motovun - one of the most beautiful acropolis settlements in Istria / Viznada, Rokotule and Karojba - small towns with Romanesque and Baroque buildings
How to get there: 13 km norh-east of Porec on the road towards Motovun
