| | Tucepi (Makarska)
| | | Tucepi is a central Dalmatian tourist destination, placed on Makarska Riviera and lies only 4 km from the town of Makarska. Tucepi has been inhabited since ancient times, while its inhabitants in the past primarily lived off of agriculture. Thanks to its beautiful coastline and first class accommodation, Tucepi has become a favorite tourist destination. We recommend Tucepi to those looking for pebble beaches surrounded by pine and olive trees. There are sporting facilities in hotels, water sports equipment can be rented on the beach, while Biokovo Mountain is a real challenge for speleologists, alpinists and all who like to go hiking and spending time outdoors. Tucepi is known for its specialties that are served both in large and comfortable restaurants and in small picturesque konobas (local restaurants). If coming by boat, there are 70 berths in Tucepi marina.
We recommend: ruins of an early Christian church from the 5th century by the town's cemetery / Sv. Juraj church from the 13th century / Baroque villas of the Ivanisevic and Lucic-Pavlovic families on the coast / summer residence of the abbot Grubisic / places nearby: Podgora and Makarska / island of Brac by ferry from Makarska
How to get there: 4 km south of Makarska on the main road towards Dubrovnik |
