| | Gradina (island of Korcula)
| | | Gradina consists of private houses and lies on the southern Dalmatian island of Korcula that is connected to the cities of Split and Dubrovnik by daily ferry lines. Gradina is only 5 km from the ferry port Vela Luka and therefore ideal if you would like to find accommodation in a quiet place close to a tourist center with a wide range of entertainment and cultural events. Gradina was first mentioned in the 15th century, while archeological findings date back to Illyrian times. Today, Gradina is truly ideal for a quiet holiday since the nearest store is 4 km away, therefore you can enjoy the sea, sun, and walks surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. There are concrete swimming areas with small boats docks in front of private houses only 10 to 15 meters from the sea. They offer splendid views of the sea. If you are looking for fun or entertainment, head for Vela Luka, only 5 km away, where you can taste great food in the many restaurants and konobas (local restaurants) or enjoy the events of the Vela Luka Summer Festival.
We recommend: Sv. Ivan church / tourist centers: Korcula and Vela Luka / places nearby: Zaglav, Karbuni and Grscica / old settlement Blato on the island of Korcula / islets near Vela Luka: Proizd, Osjak, Gubesa and Kamenjak - fishing areas
How to get there: from the ferry port Vela Luka - 5 km to the west on the road to Gradina
