| | Broce (peninsula Peljesac)
| | | Broce lies on the southern Dalmatian peninsula Peljesac, connected to the mainland by coastal road via Ston. The place and its harbor are 3 km south of Ston. Although the inhabitants traditionally live off of agriculture and fishing, they are turning more and more to tourism because this area has fabulous sandy beaches shaded by pine trees. Therefore, Broce is great for guests looking for a quiet holiday in a small place close to tourist centers. The centuries-old town of Ston nearby, known for its stone fortification walls (the so-called European Great Wall of China) offers many cultural and historic sites, as well as delicious meals in its konobas (traditional restaurants). Dubrovnik, only 40 km away, is also a must, if in Broce. Besides water sports, such as sailing and surfing in Ston channel, and sports fields, there is a whole range of additional activities in the town of Ston.
We recommend: Gothic and Renaissance houses in the place itself / Dominican monastery with church from 1629 / Veliki Ston and Mali Ston / Dubrovnik
How to get there: 3 km south of Ston on the local road Ston - Broce that branches off of the main road Split - Dubrovnik in the place Doli. |
