Barotul (island of Pasman)
| | | Barotul, a small and tranquil place on the Northern Dalmatian island of Pasman, lies in Taline bay between the places of Pasman and Mrljane. It takes 15 minutes by ferry to get from Biograd, a town close to Zadar, to the island of Pasman. Barotul has retained its traditional way of life: locals have been growing fruits and vegetables in the nearby fields for centuries, fisherman offer their recently caught fish daily, and homemade oil and wine, as well as figs and grapes, can be bought or tasted in "konobas" (local restaurants).
