Barotul (island of Pasman) | | | Barotul, a small and tranquil place on the Northern Dalmatian island of Pasman, lies in Taline bay between the places of Pasman and Mrljane. It takes 15 minutes by ferry to get from Biograd, a town close to Zadar, to the island of Pasman. Barotul has retained its traditional way of life: locals have been growing fruits and vegetables in the nearby fields for centuries, fisherman offer their recently caught fish daily, and homemade oil and wine, as well as figs and grapes, can be bought or tasted in "konobas" (local restaurants). If you are looking for the tranquility of a fishing settlement, Barotul is the right place for you. If you like windsurfing, take advantage of the favorable winds in the Pasman channel, while those who prefer diving can explore the underwater of Pasman. Barotul is ideal for a tranquil holiday with friends and family.
We recommend: Polaca, Triluke and Banj bays/ places of Pasman, Tkon, Mrljane, Nevidane / ruins of an Illyrian castle in Banj / Biograd on the mainland
How to get there: 10 km east of the ferry port Tkon along the island's main road towards the place of Pasman
