Novi Vinodolski (Crikvenica)

Novi Vinodolski is a beautiful Kvarner tourist destination, situated on the main coastal road towards Zadar, 9 km south of Crikvenica. It is known for its large sandy beach in the Lisanj bay, surrounded by dense pine trees, its coastal promenade and villas and is, therefore, ideal for a family holiday. Swimming beaches that meet the highest standards and that are suitable for children, crystal-clean sea, dense Mediterranean vegetation, rich cultural heritage, various types of entertainment and sporting facilities await you in Novi Vinodolski. It is a picturesque town with stone streets, villas dating back to the Secession and a wonderful coastal promenade with numerous konobas (local restaurants) and restaurants serving local and Mediterranean specialties. Furthermore, Novi Vinodolski is the center of the International Summer Carnival and organizes many interesting street events in August. The Zagori tourist complex, surrounded by pine trees, offers numerous sporting facilities, indoor and outdoor sea-water pools, while the Povile bay close-by has a pebble beach ideal for children.

We recommend: Local Public Library / Local Museum and Gallery / an old Frankopan fortress with 4000 exhibits / the San Marino island: 205 m from the mainland across from Novi Vinodolski / Crikvenice / Selce / Klenovica / Bribir

How to get there: 9 km south of Crikvenica along the main road towards Zadar

Did you know: the first swimming area in Novi Vinodolski was opened in 1878 / Novi Vinodolski received an award for its swimming areas that meet the highest ecological standards / swimming on the main beach in Novi Vinodolski in 1889 was organized as follows: the red flag denoted that only men were allowed to swim, while the white flag denoted that it was the women's turn / the first hotel was built in 1892 and is to this day a fine example of well-proportioned hotel architecture / in 1906 Novi Vinodolski was officially proclaimed a health resort and tourist destination / Novi Vinodolski is the center of the International Summer Carnival
