Baska Voda (Makarska)

Baska Voda, only 10 km from Makarska, is a modern tourist destination on the breathtaking Makarska Riviera, known for its pebble beaches that go on for kilometers and are surrounded by pine trees. Baska Voda, inhabited since ancient times, used to be a fishing settlement. Thanks to the beautiful coastline and sea, as well as its geographical position at the foot of Biokovo - popular with hikers and nature lovers - it has developed into a well-known tourist destination offering a wide range of tourist services and accommodation including hotels, private rooms and apartments, perfect for a pleasant family holiday. Apart from its beautiful landscape and coastline, Baska Voda also offers numerous cultural and entertainment events, such as traditional and religious festivities, as well as the following sporting activities: tennis, football, handball, table tennis, mini-golf, fishing, diving and sailing. There are many restaurants, konobas (local restaurants), bars and night clubs - something to suit everyone's taste. If you like to go for walks, there is a wonderful seaside promenade.

We recommend: Gradina (above Baska Voda) - ruins from the Byzantine Era / Sv. Lovre Baroque church / Sv. Nikola parish church / Makarska / Brela / Omis - old town known for pirates in the past / islands of Brac and Hvar / place of Bratus - an excellent example of rural architecture / Biokovo: nature park, alpinist trails, speleological sites

How to get there: 9,5 km north of Makarska on the main road (Jadranska magistrala) towards Split.
